For me, Global Brigades was an opportunity to learn what I was passionate about through hands on experience. I ended up changing my major based on what I learned through my first brigade and I think this exemplifies the impact that GB can have. I loved being on a medical brigade but I was able to identify that what I loved about the brigade was not the medical clinic, but rather the interaction with the patients. I feel incredibly fortunate that I was able to have an experience that directed my career, and allowed me to get on the path to my passions. We often forget the exchange of information that we receive from the brigade, and this can be the most impactful part of our experience.
