VISION
To improve equality of life by igniting the largest student-led social responsibility movement on the planet.
GLOBAL BRIGADES is the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Since 2004, Global Brigades has mobilized tens of thousands of university students and professionals through skill-based programs working in partnership with community members to improve quality of life while respecting local culture in resource-constrained regions. The organization is dedicated to implementing a holistic model to meet each and every's community's health and economic goals. The various chapters within the organization are dedicated to improving different aspects of each community so that sustainability can be established. These different chapters include Business, Dental, Engineering, Environmental, Human Rights, Medical, Microfinance, Public Health, and Water, where brigaders are sent to places like Honduras, Panama, and Ghana.
AT PENN STATE, Global Brigades was established in 2007, and has grown to represent all 9 of the organization's programs through 6 different chapters. These 6 chapters are supported and unified by a Global Brigades Campus Council. As one of the largest GB campus networks in the world, we strive to pave the way as leaders in student empowerment and involvement in our programs.
